Early Life

Wyatt Berry Stapp Earp, (March 19, 1848 - January 13, 1929), American farmer, buffalo hunter, miner, and lawman. Born in Monmouth, Illinois, Earp traveled with his family across the United States, earning a living as a farmer, hunter, boxing referee, stagecoach driver, and saloon keeper.

In 1862, Earp left California to join the American Civil War. In the war, Earp fought against the Confederate Army. After the war, Earp moved to Kansas.
